Is it normal to feel nervous about starting therapy?

Absolutely. Many people feel anxious or uncertain before their first appointment. Starting therapy is a new experience, and it’s completely normal to have questions or feel unsure about what to expect. Our therapists create a welcoming, supportive environment where you can move at your own pace and share only what feels comfortable.

What happens in the first therapy session?

First, your therapist will take time to get to know you: what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’re hoping to change. You don’t need to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. Your therapist will guide the conversation at comfortable pace for you.

Most importantly, the first session is about helping you feel supported, understood, and comfortable.
